Options in Today's Individual Insurance Market

With the recent, major healthcare reform changes occurring within insurance industry, not only are the rules changing drastically, but the individual insurance market in general is expanding by leaps and bounds.

Today, many consumers are finding themselves looking to the individual market for coverage because they won’t be able to obtain coverage through an employer, nor will they qualify for a subsidy through the Marketplace Exchange.

INDIVIDUAL INSURANCE LINKS

American Benefit Advisors works with many top-rated carriers and can help you purchase the same affordable plans found on the Marketplace Exchange on the open (private) market.  Coverage and premiums among carriers will be similar and no one can be denied enrollment because of pre-existing conditions.   And, because we are independent of any one carrier, you can feel confident we will serve your best interest and help you find the plan that best suits your needs and budget.

Important changes in the Individual Market

There is now an annual open enrollment period* for the individual market, meaning, you can only purchase healthcare benefits during this timeframe* which is currently closed.  The annual open enrollment period is November 1st through January 31st.  If you missed the deadline for enrollment, you might have to pay a penalty under the new rules of the ACA.

*Can be waived under certain circumstances such as change in job, marital status or location.
